Summer Sizzlers: Five Albums You Must Get This Summer!!

The  following are five albums that we think you need to add to your collection this summer.  All albums are in stores  now and available on Itunes.  Check them out!!!

Fantasia - The Side Effects of You.    Although this album was not a summer release, Fantasia's fourth studio album is a most have.  The American Idol champ is at her best with songs produced by new producer Harmony Samuels.  This has to be Fantasia's best work yet, its a very solid album.   Tracks like  Lose to Win,  Without Me featuring Missy Elliot and Kelly Rowland, Get It Right, the Whitney Houston inspired Change Your Mind.  



Kanye West - Yeesus    Hate him or love him, Mr. Kardasian I mean Kanye West is back with his new album Yessus which caused a bit of stir over the controversial title.  The fans either love or hate this album, some call it pure trash, others say it's a classic. One thing for sure Kanye West is not afraid to push boundaries. Check out the track  New Slaves.




J. Cole - Born Sinner  J.Cole surprised many when his debut album Cole World  hit the top of the charts, now the North Carolina native is Back his sophomore album Born Sinner.   J. Cole is one of the best new rappers on the scene.Check out tracks like Miss America,  Crooked Smile featuring TLC and  Let Nas Down.  





Wale - The Gifted   The Lotus Flower Bomb rapper returns with his 3rd album which is sure to top the charts.   His song  Bad featuring Tiara Thomas and the remix featuring Rhianna is burning up radio.  Also check out tracks like The Curse of the Gifted and Vanity.






Indria.Arie - SongVersation      After taking a break from music India.Arie returns with her 5th album and she's back on Motown.   This album is a breath of fresh air, it's soulful, sophisticated and uplifting.  Songs like Break The Shell,  Brother's Keeper,  Coco Butter and Just Do You leave you feeling good. India.Arie does what she does best uplift us in song. 











ARTIST ON THE RISE: TY HARRELL


I was browsing YouTube and I came across this singer whose smooth silky voice really caught my attention, ladies and gentlemen meet Ty Harrell.   He's just getting started with his cover songs on YouTube  but I have no doubt that Ty will be one to watch in the near future.  Check out his take of Elton John's classic hit, Your Song  below and for original music go to his website.
